Daily Tous Les Jours’ “21 Swings” street game

Canadian design collective Daily Tous Les Jours have lit up the streets of Montreal with a playful game of musical swings. 21 Balançoires (21 Swings) is a series of swing sets programmed to play various musical notes while in motion. Different tunes and instruments emerge when participants swing in harmony with one another, bringing together children and adults alike into one giant collective melody.

Daily Tous Les Jours notes, “Cooperation emerges when the behavior of each individual depends on the decisions of the rest of the group: it’s a game where, from the start, you need to adjust to the actions of others.” What a fun, inspiring way to allow children to move and play while also learning the importance of teamwork.
